NOTE
It's been a long time since I started focusing on **Installation Art** as an alternative to the sense of emptiness I felt while sculpting, combining and assembling disparate elements such as video, animation, and sound. However, the sense of futility and emptiness that followed the installation work led me to seek another alternative, and I chose the method of **Recording**.
While there are various methods of Recording, I have been documenting the full view or details of the installed work with photographs. Based on these records, I use a computer to create drawings, or transform those drawings into animations and videos.
This involves placing two works, which were installed and exhibited in different spaces, into one space, prompting a **Communication** between them, and combining them to reproduce a different work. I saw another possibility in this process of reproduction. It is the work of **Demounting** the act of Recording that I have been doing until now.
I don't know how long this agony and anguish over the work will continue, but today too, I agonize for the evolution of the work.

조각하면서 느끼는 공허함에 대한 대안으로 설치(Installation Art)라는 영역으로 관심을 가지면서
영상, 애니메이션, 사운드 등 이질적인 요소를 결합하고 조합하는 작업을 해온 지 오래다.
단 설치작업 후 찾아오는 허무함과 공허함은 또 다른 대안을 찾았고 기록(Recording)이라는 방법을 택하게 된다.
기록(Recording)의 방법에는 여러 가지 방법이 있겠지만 난, 설치된 작품의 전경이나 세부장면(Detail)을 사진으로 기록, 그 기록물을 토대로 컴퓨터를 이용하여 드로잉을 하거나 그 드로잉을 변형하여 애니메이션으로 영상화하는 작업을 해왔다.
서로 다른 공간에서 설치되고 전시된 두 작품을 한 공간에 배치하고 서로 대화(Communication)를 야기시키며 조합하여 다른 작품으로 재생산하는 것이다. 난 이 재생산의 과정에서 또 다른 가능성을 보았다. 지금까지 해왔던 기록(Recording)하는 행위를 다시 해체화(Demounting)하는 작업이다.
언제쯤 이런 작품에 대한 고뇌와 번뇌가 지속될지는 모르지만, 오늘도 작품의 진화를 위해 고뇌한다.
